The main aim of Tugenin Culture is to promote and preserve Tugen heritage, and to foster peace among ourselves and our neighbouring communities. Entry to Culture Day is always free — merchandize, donations, membership, and partnerships exist to fund and support that mission.
We organise the annual Tugenin Cultural Festival at Oinobmoi Cultural Center near Chebloch Gorge — dance, song, and ceremony that showcase Tugen heritage to thousands each year.
The festival is a platform for peace among neighbouring communities — Marakwet, Pokot, Tugen, Keiyo, and others take part in its performances and celebrations.
Culture wear and traditional ornaments, made and sold to fund the festival and spread the culture, with custom branding available on request.
Culture Day is completely free to attend — reserve a free pass in advance to help us plan, or just show up on the day.
Anyone can support the culture with a donation, out of goodwill — donors can be publicly recognised or choose to stay private.
We welcome anyone to register, verify their email, and be recognised as part of the Tugenin family.
Members who bring in a friend who purchases merchandize earn a reward — a free festival t-shirt.
Organisations register as partners, verify their identity, and — once approved — are recognised on our website.
Registered members can apply to join our organising team ahead of the festival.
Entry to Culture Day is completely free. The main purpose of buying merchandize or donating is to promote Tugen culture and keep it running, purely out of goodwill. Contributions go toward awarding the participating teams who entertain us and remind us of our culture, and toward the practical cost of putting on a festival this size:
